GMAT : do i take classes or prepare myself?

May2

I have decided, after a quality research, that i would take on the challenge of cracking GMAT!

I tried to judge if i need coaching or i need to prepare on my own. Well, for starters, there is a lot of material online that is waiting to be found. Also, i dont think i have time to spend to go to a class.

Talking about the online stuff, here are few stuff i found. let me know if anybody needs them.

i have :

Official Guide : Problem Solving 1.pdf (quants)
Official Guide : Problem Solving 2.pdf (solved problems in quants)

Barron.pdf : barrons words list , with frequencies of their occurances so far.

Too much to do?

April9

I know when i enrolled into Masters program, especially without much funding, that its not going to be easy. Nothing ever is.

But somehow there is that hope, that i could be a superwoman excelling at everything. I wish that was true. I work towards it. But its not practical. And that reflects in my GPA. Not perfect.

Gone is the first semester with home-sickness and bitter-taste of Multimedia course, which was far from what the term suggests. Now, this semester, work is consuming all the time. Not just work, but a lot of stuff. No, i am not making excuses. I am counting the parameters that fit in as hurdles. Thats not called making excuses. Thats being aware of your shortcomings.

Well, here they are:

  • I wish i had food ready at home whenever im hungry.
  • I wish the Groceries keep filling in whenever its time for them.
  • I wish that Louisville’s weather is warm and comforting.
  • and on
  • and so on

Nay, not gonna happen.

I know it.

Time to gear up against all to finish up my semester.

Homeworks/Projects/Reports/Work on campus are so far the highest priority now.

With all this, i am so happy to know that il be going to INDIA next month. Well, its not a vacation. I have driving lessons every weekday. Also GMAT  classes for MBA 3 hours a day…. ah!! the list never ends.

I hope i blog often inspite of this. I am watching my Alexa rank jump by thousand everyday that i dont blog. I dont like that. Come-on now!! I do have an interesting life off the www too! I cant blog everyday now!

Well, enough of picking on things, time to get back to my homeworks due.

Adios!

ICC Cricket World Cup 2007

March18

I cannot ignore this topic, being an Indian. I enjoy it, especially the last hour of the game :)

I especially cannot ignore it, when Bangladesh won handsomely with 5 wickets in hand and after having outplayed India in both bowling and batting. “Remarkably, most of the batsmen that did the work for them were in their teens.”, says Official ICC CWC-07 site. Famous win for Bangladesh!!

India packed up for 191?

India lost 5 wickets for 2 runs in a later-order collapse before the last pair put on 32 off 28 balls to take India to 191 all out in their opening ICC Cricket World Cup match.

Zaheer Khan and Munaf Patel each score 15, slogging their way in the last three overs. That Sucks!!
And is this real? Pakistan knocked out!

I expected them to be for sure finalists! Ah, no match of India Vs Pakistan? That is a loss!

Ah Well! Life Aint Easy!!!

Here is the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 Schedule. Gotta see how India vs Bermuda Turns out!

We better Win BIG!
