Here you will find most of the official glomosim download material. You will also find the manual with detailed instructions on how to download.

**Glomosim is free for academic, research use from the UCLA web specified above.You will have to be online on an academic domain like .ac.uk /.edu/ .ac.in to access it.

**After clicking on the link, you will register , with an official educational domain email id(eg., XXXXX@louisville.edu) to access the secret link to download.

Jist of the above, if you have a laptop, go to your campus and connect with your official login so that glomosim will let you download.

I think i have the zip file somewhere, and will try to upload it to my site too..if that is legal of course!

Commercial cousin of Glomosim, called Qualnet- by Scalable Network Technologies, has a GUI installation. You can try this on google too.

Pre-Installation :

- Microsoft VC++ version 6.0 (Essential)
- JAVA JRE version 1.2 or higher (For VT)
- JAVA SDK version 1.2 or higher (For VT)

GLOMOSIM installation steps.

1. Download GloMoSim 2.03 (say save to “C:\glomosim2.03″)
2. Create folder parsec as “C:\glomosim2.03\parsec”
2.1 Go to glomosim2.03\glomosim\Parsec, open folder ‘windows-nt-vc6.0′, copy all files into “C:\glomosim2.03\parsec” directory. Delete all other folders under “glomosim2.03\glomosim\Parsec” directory (since they are for other OS)

3. Set pcc environmental variables (For Parsec)
1) My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced -> Environmental Variables
2) New “PCC_DIRECTORY”, value = “C:\glomosim2.03\parsec”
3) Set path “C:glomosim2.03\parsec\bin”
4. Set VC6.0 environmental variables (if default, go to step 5)
1) Set include:
“C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual StudioVC98MFCInclude; C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual StudioVC98Include”
2) Set lib:
“C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual StudioVC98MFCLib; C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual StudioVC98Lib”
3) Set path:
“C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual StudioCommonMSDev98Bin”

Another way to do this is: run “”vcvars32.bat”" from C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual StudioVC98\bin.

5. Check pcc environment by “pcc -Cenv” in DOS prompt (cmd)
This should not return any errors
6. GloMoSim Installation
Go to command prompt:

1) Go to c:\glomosim2.03\glomosim\main, “makent.dat”

this should not retrun any errors, if it does, there is no glomosim.exe made, so check for errors and get rid of them.
2) Go to glomosimglomosimbin, find “glomosim.exe”

3) Test glomosim. Under DOS: “glomosim config.in”

This should end as:

4) “glomo.stat” is generated after simulation, compare with “glomo.stat.sample”

7. Build GloMoSim Visualisation Tool (VT)

“C:glomosimglomosimJAVA_GUI”, type “javac *.java”, enter
You might have to set the java environment variable too (path to C:\j2sdk1.4.2_14\bin)

8. GloMoSim is now ready to use.

Tips for Troubleshooting
Step 8, “warning LNK4099: PDB, vc60.pdb” was not found
Local access restrictions, does not affect VT, ignore it
