I’ve been blogging no doubt, but i cant believe that i havnt got a wordpress account, or one with an API key in the profile. Well anyways, after getting this message for the installation of Akisment, i had to get one!

First i tried to get rid of the error: “Akismet is not active: You must enter your WordPress.com API key for it to work”, with the following:

“How do I get one?

When you sign up for a WordPress.com account we will email you an API key. If you already have a WordPress.com account, your API key is listed on your profile page, which you can get to by clicking the “My Account” link in the top right when you’re logged in.” Source: WordPress.com

But to my annoying discovery, i dont have an API key listed. The i went here: and signed up for “Just a username, please.”

Within 2minutes i have an email with all the account details and “Your API Key: XXXXXXXXX”, what i was looking for… finally!!
