It’s a Beautiful Day!

The best thing to hear on the radio before you start the day is “..and its going to be a sunny day with temperatures warmer than yesterday..”. So up and ready to get Kitty to the pet hospital for his yearly dental & comprehensive done, I was out around 7:30 am this morning.
I was cold after scraping the thin frozen sheet of ice off my car and Kitty was meowing as loud as his tiny lungs would let him. I was thinking to myself: the next 20 minutes is going to be all about him making it a point that he hates driving out!
And then, what happened next, wasn’t surprising at all. Considering the morning traffic, where everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere at the same time, not surprising at all! If anything, it was more so annoying because of its expected-ness.
Anyway, I caught my mind shift focus from the cold shivers to the little flickers of warmth that seem to spread out of anger, as I watch a moron shift lanes in front of me. He gave no indication of his intent to change lanes and just steered a sharp right within a split second. He would have bumped into the car in front and I would have run into him making a car-sandwich of a wreck. All that was just off by a split second, thank God! Wait a minute – WHAT A MORON!
But then, right through the Patchen Wilkies Drive, the early morning Sun rise was ready to steal the show. My thoughts were derailed to a completely different place.
Barely above the vast grass plains covered in slushy snow, the Sun was playing peek-a-boo with trees standing tall that revealed patches of green where the snow melted as one drives across the side road.
Up above these tress was the pale orange sky with a pinch of pink, blue and white, getting ready for the daily morning routine. A routine that happens every single day, but today, the sky was painting a beautiful canvas setting up the stage for the blazing Sun. There were at least half a dozen Aircraft  leaving white smoky trails behind them on this clear sky. These trails were randomly spaced but perfectly framed the lonely  star that was still bright.
The lonely star will have its share of glory just until Sun will over-shine it in minutes…
The traffic sounds went muffled. Kitty for some reason was quiet. The moron on the road didn’t matter. The cold weather actually made the early rays from the morning Sun feel warm like melting caramel on a hot coffee. What a beautiful Sun Rise!!!
A deep sigh escapes from me and all it took was something as simple this scene that made me realize, how easy it is to let some #people# and their actions dictate our “Mood for the Day”!
All the melodramatic details aside, <whatever  relaxing music/thoughts you associated with the description above is now coming to a screeching halt (just like the sound I heard when the moron shifted lanes)>, I here by dedicate this post to all the #people# who need to learn how to use indicators on their vehicles.
#people#Â
{people who lack common sense, Â people who throw their common sense away when its pouring freezing rain/snowing, who am I kidding->most of what we call “human race”!!!}

It’s easy to get caught up in the little things, isn’t it? I think that’s part of being around such a large number of other people (the normal kind and the #people# kind). Sometimes you have to step back, take a deep breath, and find beauty in your surroundings.
