iPhone wont restart!
Since iPhone 2.0 Software update, i have been trying out various apps on my phone. I have a dozen+ free apps, and one paid game “Chopper”- just because i wanted to experience the cool maneuvers exploiting the built in accelerometer of iPhone.
While experimenting adding apps, i realized that my iPhone crashes/hangs/does nothing at the screen it is stuck a lot of times! And though I am as geeky as i could be, i didn’t jailbreak/unlock my iPhone. I am ATT customer, paying $83 a month, yup - royally ripped off, and i hate not having full control on my iPhone. But its worth having the support and warranty in caparison to nothing while you make iPhone a $400 play toy!
Coming back to the reason to this post..today my iPhone wont restart. I tried a lot of things before getting frustrated and spending a good 30 minutes Googling on it! What all did i try?
- I tried holding the home screen button, forever, and nothing happens…it is stuck at iPhone contacts
- Double click only results in opening iPod, which i set it up for at the settings, and crap now i have a song playing but i cant reduce the volume because the volume buttons are not responsive.
- Restart button the top, held it forever a dozen times… all it does is lock the iPhone .. that’s it…no restart happening here!!
Oh..well..not to add i was freaked out, getting late to work, didn’t have my breakfast, my cat is hungry and the world goes on even if your iPhone doesn’t restart!
But finally, after trying weird combination’s of holding the buttons on iPhone, the combination Sleep/Wake button on the top of the iPhone and home screen button at the same time works!
There you go, try holding Home screen button + Sleep/Wake button on the top of the iPhone simultaneously if you have same problem…hope that works!!
