From bbc.com : “A British man has lost his High Court fight against extradition to the US for allegedly carrying out the “biggest military computer hack of all time”.
Gary McKinnon, 39, is accused of hacking into 97 US government computers between February 2001 and March 2002.
Prior to this article, the details were as follows:
He was acting from his own computer in London. Via the internet, the defendant identified US government network computers with an open Microsoft Windows connection.”
It now looked as though the US would try to prosecute Mr McKinnon as a cyber-terrorist ! Ah well.. maybe an inspiration to a hollywood director?
