Power of Yoga in life

Today, I stumbled across few Yoga-DVD set collections on bit torrent site, and i got curious. And to my delightful surprise, after 20 minutes into practicing whats on the video, i feel great! It first looks silly.With that few movements in the joints, making the body end up in weird twisted stretched poses. But amazingly body is relaxed with a fresh energy boosting breathing exercises.

I wish i had more time to spend on it. I would definitely consider making it a part of my life once it can be accommodated. The obvious health benefits are of course hand in hand with a good diet, that means no pizza’s or chicken all the time. I think its worth it.

In Sanskrit, Yoga means “to unite”. Primarily an exercise in moral and mental cultivation of poses and practices that aim towards harmonizing your mind, body and soul to achieve a state of oneness with the universe. It’s a spiritual practice that does not subscribe nor promote any particular faith;

Yoga is much more than sitting in a lotus position and chanting in unison. It is challenging on many levels - physically, emotionally and mentally. And i felt this after few minutes of practicing it. That is amazing!
