Zune.. its a $249 device that debuts on Nov 14 2006 (did u know its “Childrens day” in India?), there’s a new window of opportunity for a good handful of third parties to partner with Microsoft. Obviously, third-party accessories that promote the product get the perk of tagging along a Microsoft-product. Market is about to get a whole lot more bigger for Microsoft .
I bumped into something funny..

Gizmodo quotes a zune insider says “The ‘skin’ of the Zune was a ‘rubberized’ material that had a smooth seductive feel to it. I[gizmodo staff who tried zune on demo] found myself unable to stop stroking the device, so much that the demo assistant asked me to put it down.”

ok, so i should laugh or get ready to have something sleek and seductive in my hand? its a digital song player we are talking about, not a play toy! call it the iPod killer. Thats what got the attention. Not seductive rubberized material, thats a turn off.

…..seductive?….

Well enough of that but isnt its almost comical when you see wierd marketting techniques…

Having a predominant product like iPod, is like having a prototype to shoot the flaws at and make better one, incase you are microsoft, you make it to be the best.

But it is good to know the Zune will work with the Xbox.

Gizmodo also says “The reality is that the Zune is the same weight a a 30GB iPod, but it must be better distributed over it’s larger frame in order for so many people to think it weighs less.”

hmm, i say..Aint it worht the wait?
